Some of the recommended fabric choices are viscose, soft jacquard, tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin or twill. Choose light to medium fabrics between 80 to 200g/m². The fabric stiffer the fabric the more structured the sleeves will be. 

If you choose easy to handle fabrics such as poplin, dupioni or linen, the The Doll Blouse is suitable for beginners. If you opt for fluid or slippery fabrics, then it is best suited for intermediate level.
