The Classic Coat (PDF)

A classic single or double breasted coat with set-in-two-piece sleeves and welt or patch pockets. The cuff is finished with a faux placket and a button detail.  with optional cuff detail. This jacket can be lined, unlined or finished with raw edges. The back is finished with half belt and two vents.

The unlined and raw-edged versions require some sewing experience whereas the lined version is a bit trickier.

Medium weight coating fabrics, wools, tweeds, velvet, corduroys. The unlined version would also suit cotton canvas, linen or denim for summer.
